Protan AS was established in Drammen in 1939. The company developed and launched the production of first life jackets of rubber-coated material. Currently, it is a manufacturer of world-renowned niche products of PVC materials, including roof membranes.
Elmark Hale was established in Stęszew near Poznań, Poland in 1989. The company manufactured and assembled tent structures, little known in Poland at that point.
In 2008, Protan AS merged with Elmark Hale, thus providing the basis for how the company is structured currently.
Today, our best assets include both long-term experience and use of state-of-the-art technologies for manufacturing tent structures. Although our projects can be found on five continents, this is just the beginning. Our aspirations are higher.
